So I totally get that. This advice makes sense from the perspective of somebody who's trying to get as many eyeballs on their writing as possible or selling a product. But how does it apply jf I am writing my Substack to heal myself and develop confidence in my own value? Thank you for anytime you take to answer.

Hey Robin. It depends.

If your only goal is to heal yourself and develop self-confidence, then by all means post *whatever* comes to mind. Literally, you should care less about anything.

If you want to help others in the process, making sure it's readable, at least a little, can go a long way.

Personal suggestion:

Just post it. Don't worry about what others think at this stage.

Once you feel 100% comfortable with sharing and you want to reach more people, that's when I would suggest you start putting a little effort, one change at a time, to improve the writing.

--

All that is said with the assumption that you're not happy with your writing and you want to improve it.

I hope it helps ❤️
